West Coast Swing is a style of Swing that can be danced to a wide variety of music speeds and styles (contemporary, soul, R&B, rock, country, jazz, blues, you name it!). It appears to be danced on a rectangular section of floor with the lady moving more than the man. It is often considered smoother and more sensuous than other styles of swing. Though it takes a bit more effort to learn the basics, it is more independently creative, especially as one becomes more advanced.
